Sleeping within my shadows
lies the personification of my gift
Kin to reason and feeling, yet beyond both,
The Dreamer Lies Within.
While he sleeps he perceives,
transcendentally he sees and feels
pain, ecstasy, wisdom, beauty
but silently he holds the peace.
Until the sparks kindle thoughts
and his unquenchable desire is turned
so like the phoenix from the flame
arises the dreamer who lies within.
Of truth he sings,
Love, Nature, Life, Dreams,
a keeper of souls with
an iridescent fire of passion.
And so I warn you;
When you sense a spark in my eyes
and my fingers glow and twitch for a pen
and my hand ignites as it grasps for paper
it is only inspiration,
Awakening the Dreamer who lies within.
