Emily's Story - Day 2 and beyond...

After 3 days in the hospital, I thought I was ready to go home!
Get me home, Daddy!!!
"Welcome home, Emily!"

Home, and sleep!
(And I hope I don't learn fashion sense as an infant. This thing doesn't even fit me yet! -- But, ok, I guess I DO look cute in it.)

Mumsy got a chance to relax and refresh while I was sleeping. She likes being home.

"When is she going to wake up??? I thought *I* was the only one who slept all the time around here..."

Well, it turns out the reason I was sleeping so much was because I had jaundice. So I had to go back to the hospital on Friday the 23rd for light therapy. Dad took pictures of me in my special light-suit on Saturday the 24th. Pretty sci-fi cool, eh?.

Mumsy's happy to have some time off to rest and recuperate.
Enjoy your sleep while you can, Mumsy. I'll be better soon!

So, after 4 days of this stuff, I was able to come back home because my billirubin level was settling down. I was 6 days old at this point.

Ah, it's good to be back home in my own bed.
