Emily's Story

So, this is me a few minutes after birth. You can see that I weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces. I'm a mess! And the goop in my eyes! I didn't cry too much, not really much point, is there? After this they wisked me away... but, we should go back to the day before...

This is Mumsy the day before I was born. She looks pretty happy to be in the hospital, at the final stages before welcoming me into the world! Of course, it'd take a while until I deemed those pesky humans worthy...

Mumsy's holding her tummy, willing labor to get going. But I'm going to make sure she has one more miserable night before all of the upcoming sleepless nights! Gotta get them old folks now, because once I'm out, they can discipline me.

This is Mumsy after the long ordeal on November 19th.
She is very happy that Uncle Andrew brought her McDonalds for her first post-delivery meal!
I think she's also happy to be done with labor and all that. She wasn't very happy with me. She kept saying that I was in a lot of trouble...

I like when Mumsy holds me. She feels just right. See, I guess she's not so mad at me after all. Can you see the alien experiment hormones working yet? I'm slowly modifying her brain into thinking I'm the most important thing in the world!

Dad was easy. Wrapped him up in five seconds flat...

| I'm about 17 hours old here. Still kinda worn out from the journey and all. If I knew how to use these darned upper-appendages, I'd cover my mouth like a proper lady!

This is Granny Rose (that's Mumsy's Mum for anyone keeping score). She's glad to have me around too!

BLEAH!! I stick my tongue out at you!

HA! Give it up Grandpapa Phelan, these guys (Uncles Tyler and Russell) will never believe they were as cute and tiny as I am!

This is Grandmama Lil. She likes me tons. I have lots of people who love to spoil me!

Uncle Tyler, of course.

Uncle Russell, of course.

Ok. So that was just when I was one day old. I went home the next day (November 21). So, let's continue...
